How do you say "good morning", "good afternoon", "good evening" in Chinese?
(1) 早上好！[Zǎoshang hǎo!] Good morning!
"早上" means "morning", as you've learned, "好" means "good".
早上[zǎoshang] + 好[hǎo] = 早上好[zǎoshang hǎo]
It literally means "morning good".
Zǎoshang hǎo, lǎoshī!
Good morning, teacher!
(2) 下午好！[Xiàwǔ hǎo!] Good afternoon!
"下午" means “afternoon”, as you know "好" means "good".
下午[xiàwǔ] + 好[hǎo] = 下午好[xiàwǔ hǎo]
It literally means "afternoon good".
(3) 晚上好！[Wǎnshang hǎo!] Good evening!
"晚上" means “evening”, and “好” means “good”.
